The need for a new pair of boots was the only giveaway Josh Hohneck got that he would make the Maori All Blacks

The 34-year-old Otago prop last played for the side in 2015, before he left for a deal with Gloucester, only to return this year.
Hohneck says he had no expectation of making the Maori side this year, thinking it would likely go to a younger player.
The Maori play Moana Pasifika on Saturday.
