    Road closures will remain in place for several hours following a fatal crash in the Coromandel


    Police have confirmed a person has died after a car crashed over a bank at Amodeo Bay.

    Emergency services were alerted at about 7.30pm yesterday.

    The intersection of Colville and Waitete Bay Roads will remain close while police conduct further inquiries.

    A second person has died in a separate crash yesterday after a motorbike left the road and went into a ditch in Otorohanga.
