Last year's Rhythm and Vines sprouted millions for Gisborne's economy

Last year's Rhythm and Vines sprouted millions for Gisborne's economy

The annual music festival held in the run up to New Year, brought in 5.72 million dollars in visitor expenditure, up from 2.88 million in the last comparable survey in 2018.

It also employed 900 locals and provided fundraising opportunities for non-profits.

A survey of 130 local businesses found 80 percent thought it had a positive impact on the region.

Increased foot traffic, greater exposure and a surge in seasonal sales were among the benefits cited.
