Police have charged a man with murder after a death in Rotorua last week

Police have charged a man with murder after a death in Rotorua last week

Officers were called to Ford Road just before 8:30pm last Friday, after reports a vehicle had hit a tree.

They found 37-year-old Nicholas Patrick Mitchell with critical injuries, and he died a short time later.

Police say a 28-year-old man was arrested last night and is expected in Rotorua District Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark van Kempen says they can't rule out further arrests
