The wet and wild weather isn't over yet for Gisborne

The wet and wild weather isn't over yet for Gisborne

The region is in a state of emergency, following severe rain in recent days.

Some roads remain closed due to slips and washouts, while a few houses in Ruatoria are still without power.

MetService Meteorologist Dan Corrigan says a heavy rain watch is in force for south of Gisborne city until 10am.

But he warns that's not the end of it, with potentially heavy rain setting in over the next few days.
