    One person has died following a motorcycle crash in Awakeri, near Whakatane


    Emergency services were sent to the scene on State Highway 30 at about 5.30pm, and say the motorcyclist died at the scene.

    Motorists are asked to delay travel or find a different route - diversions have been set up.
