Devastation in Hawke's Bay's Wairoa over a fatal school bus crash yesterday, that killed one and critically injured two others

Hawke's Bay Today reports emergency services were called to a crash between a car and the bus about 3pm, metres from Wairoa College.

Mayor Craig Little says this will rock the town, as Wairoa is small and everyone knows each other.

He says the crash was in a 50-kilometre-an-hour zone.

The school's been contacted for comment.
