Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash in Queenstown

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash in Queenstown

It happened on Kingston Road just after 6pm and involved a ute and a sedan.

One person died following the crash and a second person was airlifted to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the crash, or has dashcam footage.

The death brings the Easter road toll to two.

A passenger in a fleeing car died on Thursday night in south Auckland after the car hit a pole.
