    Two arrests .... after a man crashed a stolen vehicle in Southland on Tuesday morning .... before fleeing police


    The vehicle crashed on the Devil's Staircase, with a man then picked up by a woman and they headed south, ignoring police after being signalled to pull over in Lumsden.

    The vehicle eventually lost control, hitting a patrol car at a corner in Winton.

    A 31-year-old woman and 41-year-old man were arrested at the scene and will appear in the Invercargill District Court this week.
