    Meat processor Alliance Group is reporting a significant loss, as it moves to close its Timaru meatworks


    It's reporting a net loss after tax of 95.8 million dollars for the year to September.

    That compares to a 70.1 million dollar loss last year.

    Excluding one-off costs -- like restructuring and redundancy -- the underlying loss is 47.6 million dollars.

    Turnover is 1.8 billion dollars, down from two-billion dollars last year.
