    The Black Sox see the Philippines as the ideal opponent to help get their men's Softball World Cup campaign back on track in Auckland tonight


    Smarting from back-to-back defeats by the US and defending champions Argentina, New Zealand must win tonight and tomorrow against Cuba to have any chance of contending for the title this weekend.

    Assistant coach Patrick Shannon says the Philippines are a high energy team.



    The match gets underway at 7-30.

    Meanwhile Canada have beaten Australia 6-nil and the US have downed Cuba 8-4.
