    Double Olympic champion shot putter Valerie Adams has qualified for the Tokyo Games with just her second throw at the Potts Classic Athletics meet in Hastings


    She's done so with a heave of 18.55 metres.

    Meanwhile, hammer thrower Julia Ratcliffe's claimed the New Zealand allcomers and resident record with a winning throw of 69.94 metres.
