    Tom Walsh is humbled to be included in the shortlist for track and field's male athlete of the year


    The kiwi shot putter has made the 10-strong list of nominees after an impressive season on the world stage.

    Walsh says he can look back on 2018 with immense pride.

    He says he ticked off everything he wanted to do, setting Commonwealth Games and Diamond League records and a world lead.

    The winner will be announced in early December.
