    Quick Sports Summary

    Quick Sports Summary

New Zealand's overcome Ireland 10-5, with Brady Rush scoring the match winner in the final minutes.

They'll now face France in the semi-finals.

The Black Ferns sevens will meet Ireland in their semi, after beating Japan 43-12 in their quarter-final.

Eliza McCartney's received a big leap of confidence after winning the pole vault event at the Potts Classic in Hastings.

Using a shorter run up, McCartney's won with a vault of 4.36 metres - toppling nearest rivals Imogen Ayris and Olivia McTaggart.

McCartney says she wasn't expecting to win and was trying to taper expectations ahead of the meet.
