The 1500-metre runner's started the year with 100-mile training weeks, targeting another national title in the mile at the Cooks Classic, plus a chance to break Sir John Walker's elusive record.
He'll hop across the ditch to compete in Melbourne - returning for nationals in March to round out the domestic season - before the Diamond League begins in May.
Tanner will head back to Europe near the end of June for a couple of key races.
