    The Netherlands have claimed gold in the mixed team time trial on the opening day of the road cycling world championships in Yorkshire


    Germany was second and Britain third.

    The event features three male and three female riders tackling the same circuit separately.

    Governing body the UCI are considering adding it to the Olympic programme at Paris 2024.
