    Two motorcyclists are dead and another seriously injured after a grim Waitangi Day on our roads


    One rider died inr a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on State Highway three just south of Mokau in north Taranaki at around 10.

    A short time later, another rider was killed after a crash also between a car and motorcycle on Hillgrove-Moeraki Road in Otago at 10.40.

    A third crash involving a car and motorcycle at around 11.15 in Levin has left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

    Meanwhile one person is also seriously injured after a two car crash in Te Puke.
