    Egan Bernal has backed up his 2019 Tour de France cycling title with a second grand tour victory at the Giro d'Italia


    Kiwi George Bennett finished 11th in the general classification with Patrick Bevin 48th.

    Bernal's teammate Filippo Ganna won this morning's time trial, becoming the first rider to win five consecutive time trials on the Giro.

    The feat is all the more remarkable given he punctured.
