Aaron Gate is revelling in being back in a rainbow jumper once again

More than a decade after he won the world omnium title in Belarus - the Kiwi cyclist has produced a dominant ride to claim the points race crown at this year's World Championships in Scotland.

After winning is third medal of the event - Gate says being back on top of the podium at the Worlds is a special feeling.



Gate's points race gold saw the New Zealand track contingent finish with eight medals total - a record tally.

Young sprint star Ellesse Andrews won a second medal on the final night - bronze in the individual sprint.
