Hamilton City Council is temporarily closing its community facilities

Hamilton City Council is temporarily closing its community facilities

From tomorrow, all city Libraries, Waterworld, the Aquatic Centre, Hamilton Zoo, Waikato Museum and the i-SITE will shut until further notice.

Chief Executive Richard Briggs says it's the most effective way of encouraging 'physical distancing' amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yesterday, Auckland Council announced a two-week closure of all its facilities, effective immediately.
