South Wairarapa's mayor is disappointed at Labour's latest regional recovery election promise

South Wairarapa's mayor is disappointed at Labour's latest regional recovery election promise

The party has set aside more than 200 million for Wellington's rail network, including work on the Wairarapa line.

Alex Beijen says work at the station was already on the table, and Labour hasn't come to the party on other key projects.

He says he'd rather see actual progress as opposed to words.

Phil Twyford says with almost 2000 applications not every project could receive funding.
