Mayors and councillors want answers about how the alert level borders will work

Mayors and councillors want answers about how the alert level borders will work

Parts of Waikato are in alert level three, including Hamilton, Raglan, and Huntly -- following two new community cases yesterday.

Te Awamutu and Cambridge remain at level two.

Te Awamutu Councillor Lou Brown says that makes things very difficult for workers who live in one area and work in another.

And, he says Waikato Hospital is also in lockdown ... which is a major problem.

Lou Brown says people who need to see specialists or seeking specialised treatment will be isolated from the hospital.

There are new locations of interest outside of Auckland including McDonalds Taupiri, BP Raglan and Supervalue Raglan.
