Latest Real Estate Institute figures show the total properties for sale decreased 28.9 per cent in the year to May.
Fewer than 15-thousand properties were listed -- the second-lowest inventory level in eighty years.
OneRoof editor Owen Vaughn says that won't stop prices rising.
He says the market might quieten in terms of listings but there's still enough activity to encourage price increases.
