New Zealand's housing market's experiencing the beginnings of a slowdown, despite a volatile few months

CoreLogic's quarterly property market update shows the market has peaked -- with both sales activity and price growth set to ease in the coming months.

Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says sales activity has been thrown a little by lockdowns, which are holding down volumes.

He says once we get through this Covid period -- that downwards trend for sales volumes will reassert itself.
