    Warnings the wild weather that's battered the top of the South Island - will push up produce prices


    Nelson-Tasman's still reeling from damaged infrastructure, with disrupted harvests and supply chains.

    There are concerns saturated soils could stop new planting - affecting crops like broccoli, lettuce and spinach.

    Vegetables NZ Chair, John Murphy says systems need to be more resilient to such shocks.

    He says if regional council continue to limited rotation despite good environmental practice prices will increase massively in future.
