An economist says much of New Zealand is still struggling to escape recession

An economist says much of New Zealand is still struggling to escape recession

SEEK's latest Employment Report shows job ads dropped for a second month, down three percent.

Applications per ad, fell two percent.

Kiwibank Chief Economist Jarrod Kerr says the country is crawling out of this recession - but that will flip.

He says as interest rates cuts feed through, the Reserve Bank will be forced to cut more and recovery should take hold in the later part of this year, and definitely next year.
