The owner of businesses in Auckland and Hamilton has been sentenced for migrant exploitation - after failing to pay workers nearly 50 thousand dollars

Sneha Patel has been sentenced to 11 months home detention in the Hamilton District Court today.
It's after a complex five-year investigation by Immigration New Zealand, with six charges relating to the exploitation of unlawful or temporary employees.
Another two charges are of aiding and abetting - and one relates to providing false or misleading information.
