    The Official Cash Rate is staying unchanged at a record low 1 percent


    Most economists had predicted a cut by 25 basis points - causing the dollar to rise.

    NZ Herald Business editor at large Liam Dann says the OCR tends to flow through to mortgage and deposit rates.

    He says it's good news for savers who are unlikely to see deposit rates falling.
