Fluctuations in vehicle sales are nothing new

Fluctuations in vehicle sales are nothing new

New vehicle registrations were down 25 percent in April on the same period last year.

Utes didn't make the top three for the first time in years, largely down to a massive rush before clean car fees kicked in on April.

Motor Trade Association spokesperson Grieg Epps says ute sales will bounce back.

He says they always see spikes in activity before regulations taking effect.

Epps says in the last few years, regulations for electronic stability control been rolling in, and they see spikes in registrations.
