    The 41-test midcourter has dashed across the Tasman to provide cover until Silver Ferns duo Maddy Gordon and Whitney Souness are recovered from injury and cleared to play.

    Simpson - the third-most-capped player in Queensland Firebirds history - outlines the phone call she received from Netball Central's high performance director Waimarama Taumaunu on Sunday.
