    Ivan Romeo has ridden to a solo victory on stage three of cycling's Criterium du Dauphine to claim the yellow leader's jersey


    The 21-year-old Spaniard made a couple of attacks before advancing beyond a group of 10 with about six of the 207 kilometres remaining.

    Reigning Tour de France and Giro d'Italia champion Tadej Pogacar is one minute and six seconds back in ninth after conceding the joint lead.

    He will aim to close the gap as the eight-stage race heads into the mountains on Friday.
