    Kiwi rugby league halfback Jahrome Hughes is happy to turn his back on the big bucks on offer in State of Origin


    New Zealand and English players are now eligible to play in Australia's premier domestic league event - provided they meet existing criteria through birth or upbringing.

    Hughes could very well be eligible to represent Queensland...but he's not going to make himself available - giving up match fees of around 30 thousand Aussie dollars per game.
