Disappointment from Taranaki head coach Neil Barnes, that loose forward Lachlan Boshier has been let go by New Zealand Rugby

The 26-year-old has signed a deal to join the Robbie Deans coached Japanese Top League champions, the Panasonic Wild Knights.

Boshier is expected to depart New Zealand after one final campaign with Taranaki under the tutelage of Barnes.

Barnes says he's stoked for Boshier, but he's frustrated that he's leaving when he's hitting his peak.
