A downcast reaction from Brandon Smith after admitting he's probably played his last game for the Roosters in the NRL

The Kiwis hooker is reportedly set for an immediate release to rival Sydney club the Rabbitohs - who he's already signed with for 2026 and 27 - as he nears a return from a serious knee injury.

After news of the early-than-planned shift from Bondi to Redfern broke yesterday - Smith says he got a call from Roosters coach Trent Robinson.

The 2020 Premiership winner then appeared on The Bye Round podcast and was asked if his time in the tricolours jumper was over.
