A blow for Crusaders playmaker James O'Connor ahead of tomorrow night's Super Rugby final against the Chiefs in Christchurch

His Wallabies career appears officially over, after being overlooked for Joe Schmidt's first squad of the year.

Schmidt has opted for Ben Donaldson, Tom Lynagh and Noah Lolesio as his first fives.

The Wallabies kick off their international campaign against Fiji on July 6.

Lydia Ko's got work to do after the opening round of the women's PGA Championship golf major in Texas.

She's carded an opening round three over par 65 to sit seven shots off the pace in a tie for 67th.

Ryan Fox is in a share of 33rd after a one under par 69 at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut.
