    High jumper Hamish Kerr is shaping as one of the major contenders for the Halbergs Supreme prize in February


    The 2025 World and Diamond League champion's been named a finalist for Sportsman of the Year, alongside runner Geordie Beamish, golfer Ryan Fox, skiier Luca Harrington and footballer Chris Wood.

    Black Ferns star Jorja Miller is up for the Sportswoman prize, with cyclists Niamh Fisher-Black and Sammie Maxwell, snow sports athletes Alice Robinson and Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and tennis player Erin Routliffe.

    Miller's team mate Braxton Sorensen-McGee has competition for Emerging Athlete from Sam Ruthe, Lily Greenough, Finley Melville Ives and Zoe Pedersen.

    Auckland FC are up against the Black Ferns Sevens, Black Sox, Kiwis league team, the men's team pursuit cyclists and rowing pair for the team prize.

    2023 winner, swimmer Cameron Leslie has competition from Lisa Adams, Danielle Aitchison, Devon Briggs and Nicole Murray to be Para-Athlete of the Year.

    The Coach's gong is between para-cycling's Brendon Cameron, skiing's Hamish McDougall, rowing's Mike Rodger, athletics' James Sandilands and Black Ferns' Sevens Cory Sweeney.
