Tournament director Nicolas Lamperin has been forced to rejig his wildcard offerings after the withdrawal of Stan Wawrinka from the men's ASB Classic

The three-time major winner has pulled out owing to a busy United Cup schedule that currently sees him on court in Sydney.

The Swiss 40-year-old is retiring after this season.

Lamperin has reallocated wildcards to two former champions - 2024 winner Alejandro Tabilo of Chile and 2016 and 2018 winner Roberto Bautista Agut .

He says the juggling comes with the territory.

Meanwhile, the women's finalists will be set tonight.

Fourth seed Alexandra Eala and Chinese seventh seed Wang Xinyu are first up at 5:30pm.

Top seed Elina Svitolina will then face third seed - rising American Iva Jovic .

Svitolina says after a lengthy break at the end of 2025, she's felt her game building nicely this week.
