The Cook Island Government's extended its economic support to local businesses

The Cook Island Government's extended its economic support to local businesses

The package will be pushed out for a further three months.

The Government's package was supposed to end in March, but will now continue until the end of June.

Prime Minister Mark Brown says it will allow businesses to keep their employees on the payroll, even when a travel bubble with New Zealand commences.

He says he knows that many resorts are gearing up for Kiwis wanting a break.

The Wage Subsidy will continue to be available for eligible businesses until June 30.
