    After 30 years, the IRD is farewelling its old computer system


    The overhaul cost 1.5 billion dollars, and was delivered on time - and under budget.

    Inland Revenue Chief Executive. Naomi Ferguson says about 600,000 people will get automatic tax refunds.

    She says the upgrade is making a real difference for small business owners.

    She says small business owners can now do things like file to the IRD straight from their software.
