The Government is gearing up for a big climate announcement, ahead of the Budget

But the Prime Minister will not be in Parliament for the release of the Emissions Reduction Plan tomorrow, or the Budget itself, as she has covid.

She will be able to travel to the US next weekend, to give a commencement address at Harvard.

ZB's Chief Political Reporter Jason Walls says tomorrow's announcement will outline how we'll reach emissions targets.

He says there'll be more information on how much carbon dioxide we are putting into the atmosphere, which we have targets for now, until 2035.
