NZME's big boss says its new editorial advisory board will provide balanced advice

NZME's big boss says its new editorial advisory board will provide balanced advice

The media company - which owns Newstalk ZB and the Herald - has seen an almost 12-percent boost in operating earnings.

It's reported an after-tax loss of 0.4 million dollars - after incurring one-off costs from restructuring and June's annual shareholders meeting.

Chief executive Michael Boggs says the editorial board charter requires diverse backgrounds, including politically.

He says they'll take a longitudinal view of what's been talked about for the past three, five or ten years - and whether the topics have been covered good enough.
