Feisty exchanges during last night's young voters debate in Auckland

ACT candidate Brooke van Velden and the Greens' Chloe Swarbrick clashed over how they'd relieve the burden of Covid-19 for younger Kiwis.

van Velden says the current Government isn't getting it right, calling the economic response fiscal child abuse.

She says it's disgraceful that we're borrowing 140 billion dollars.

But the Green Party's Chloe Swarbrick says a response like that is a classic ACT party soundbite and is disgusting.
