Opposition Leader, Chris Hipkins, is pushing back on adjustments to the electoral roll process

Opposition Leader, Chris Hipkins, is pushing back on adjustments to the electoral roll process

Paul Goldsmith's announced he's looking at stopping same day enrolments, banning prison votes, and restricting food and entertainment at voting sites.

Goldsmith says this won't stop people voting in large numbers.

Hipkins says it's a huge step backwards for the country.

He says Governments should be focused on maximising people's right to vote, not taking it away.
