Trade Minister Todd McClay and the European Union Trade Commissioner have adopted a joint declaration to focus on reducing costs and boosting bilateral trade

Commissioner Maros Sefcovic completed his first visit here to take part in the inaugural NZ - EU Trade Committee meeting, attended by 500 businesses in Queenstown.

McClay says the visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase our world-class exporters and highlight investment potential in our fast-growing tech companies.

Two-way goods and services trade between us and the EU was worth 21.58 billion, in the year to June 2025.
