A pop-up Covid-19 testing site opens in Queenstown this morning

A pop-up Covid-19 testing site opens in Queenstown this morning

The site's been set up after a traveller who visited the area between July 1 and 4, later tested positive for covid 19 in South Korea.

The Health Ministry says the testing will help confirm there 's no community transmission in the region.

It's available for everybody - whether they're symptomatic or not.

Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield says testing rates need to increase across the country.

The pop-up testing site will be at the Frankton Pak'nSave carpark from 9am to 5pm.
