Aucklanders suffering from Covid-19 will be able to get free medicines during their isolation as part of a new DHB funded scheme

Aucklanders suffering from Covid-19 will be able to get free medicines during their isolation as part of a new DHB funded scheme

It will mean drugs like ibuprofen, paracetamol and electrolyte replacements will be delivered direct to their door at no cost.

People will also be able to get their regular prescription medication sent free of charge.

Zoom Pharmacy Pharmacist Din Redzepagic says the DHB is ahead of the curve.

He says they have been proactive and have brought the plan in before a peak in cases.
