Hospitality is lagging far behind in productivity, compared to other types of small business

Xero's latest report shows overall, the country faced a six-percent fall in small business productivity in 2023.

Only five sectors it tracked were above the national productivity average of 102-dollars an hour.

Xero NZ Country Manager, Bridget Snelling says real estate services led with 125 an hour.

Meanwhile, hospitality was the lowest - producing just 14-dollars an hour.
