Hire us or we'll leave, that's the stark message from New Zealand's nursing students

Hire us or we'll leave, that's the stark message from New Zealand's nursing students

The annual NZNO survey, shows 61 percent of students are considering seeking a nursing job overseas if they are unable to find a new graduate job here.

It also found that 80 percent of respondents had high levels of stress related to finances.

NZNO Chief Executive Paul Goulter, says paid placements would help.

He says nurses are currently placed in jobs within the health sector without getting compensation.
