Hopes incoming rules on methamphetamine contamination will lower costs for all

Hopes incoming rules on methamphetamine contamination will lower costs for all

The Government's created clear limits on residue allowed in residential tenancies.

The Property Investors Federation says, under current guidelines, very low-level contamination requires treatment.

Advocacy Manager Matt Ball says it raises the risk insurance will need to be paid out.

He says the new higher levels will relieve pressure on landlords and insurance companies - hopefully leading to lower premiums.
