The flu could prove to be tricky this year

Over 65s can get their vaccination from today but the rest of us will have to wait around another month more.

Associate Professor Lance Jennings from Otago University, Christchurch, says the flu hasn't been in New Zealand since March last year, when Covid-19 broke out.

However, he says it's important we have the vaccine annually, because we can't predict what flu virus will be around and how serious it's going to be.
